Signature Zine
University Project 2020Signature Zine was my outcome from a semester long project on typography in context, where we examined the role type plays in the world around us. Signature is inspired by the presence of the designer in their works, using hand generated details and metaphors of insertion to establish the typographer as a mediator between writers and readers.
With a particular focus on the ‘defacement’ of formal structures, my publication sets a rigid base and proceeds to break and misuse it, tracking the presence of the typographer - no longer an invisible hand - throughout the text.
